English Language Conversation Circle

Are you interested in helping others learn English? Consider joining our new project: an English language conversation Circle, hosted at St. Stephen's through the Open Door Society will start in January, on Tuesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for three months. There will be training. The Circle will run for 3-4 months. This is a wonderful way for us to use the gifts we have been given to help others. Details to follow.

The 2019 Church Calendars are now available from the office for $5.00 each.

Refresh Project

Refresh! Thank you to everybody who so generously supported our 60th Anniversary project of refreshing the front of our building! We have received almost the whole $4,000 and are in the process of ordering a new sign. Stay tuned!

Unfinished Projects (Previously Prayer Shawl)

For several years we have met on the 3rd Friday of the month to knit prayer shawls. We now have lots of shawls and so we are changing our name and emphasis. We will now be called "UNFINISHED". As Amy said at our last meeting, we are all unfinished projects. God has not finished with us, he is still shaping us.
Our first meeting will be September 21st, and we will meet once a month during the year. This group is for everyone in the parish, not just women, so please feel free to attend. Watch your activity calendar for meeting dates. We will meet from 1:30 p.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m., and would love to have people come and join us. Most of us have projects we have started and just need to have an opportunity to get together to work with others and we might get our projects finished. If you have a prayer shawl that is not finished , just bring it along too. We do have lots of shawls, but we certainly will accept the ones that come our way.
This is a going to be a purely social group. For years we have had people come from both the 8:30 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. services, and we have just enjoyed the social aspect of the group. It is wonderful to have an interaction between people who attend each of the services. It is a laid back social contact within the parish, just a time to enjoy each others company.
If you would like more information please feel free to contact Betty Mitchell.

Fall Outreach Request

In the Fall, our parish will be collecting back packs, suitcases, plus ladies' purses. The purses will be given to SWITCH (Student Wellness Initiative Toward Community Health). Please save these items and bring them to church when we have our fall campaign. If you have any questions, contact Donna Neufeld
